Richard Haught

Richard Alan Haught, 54, of Farmington, died Thursday (May 25, 2017) in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, after losing a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Sept. 11, 1962, in Fairmont, a son of the late Earl Junior Haught and Effie Lorena Phillips Haught.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Grace Carpenter Haught of Farmington. He is survived by a daughter, Makayla Haught of Farmington and her fiancé Braden Skinner of Daybrook; a brother, Earl Junior "JR" Haught Jr. of Morgantown; four sisters and four brothers-in-law, Wilma and Tom Jackson of Morgantown, Dana and Chuck Smith of Farmington, Debbie and Denny Smith of Maysville, North Carolina, and Cheryl and Jim Toothman of Farmington; a granddaughter, Breilynn Skinner; and many nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.
Mr. Haught was coal miner/roof bolter for the Murray Energy Co. and had previously worked as a truck driver for Mont Levine Co. He was Methodist by faith, a 1980 graduate of North Marion High School who enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with family and his granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, 207 Second St., Rivesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The committal service will follow in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
