Rex Gray Dotson, 67, of Buckhannon, passed away at his home Sunday (Dec. 24, 2017).
Born July 13, 1950 in Charleston, he was the son of Rex and Chessie Dotson. He graduated from Nitro High School and attended Fairmont State University where he was a member of the TBI Fraternity.
Rex Dotson is survived by his ex-wife, Jeanie Dotson and her mother Jean Viglianco; sons Mike Dotson and his wife Amy of Fairmont, Phil Dotson and his wife Sarah of Madison; six grandchildren, Aaliyah, Maddex, Merric, Mccartney, Amarya and Mia Dotson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Vicki Dotson and fathers-in-law Philip Viglianco and Albert Via.
Through the years he worked for BB&T, North Central Distributing and Wal-Mart.
Rex was the co-owner of Home Plate and CV News.
While his children were young, he coached Little League Baseball and FOP Colts. He was a member of BPOE, Knights of Columbus, Square Circle Hunting Club, Green Hills Country Club and Three Rivers Bass Club.
