Rebecca's Story

Text size

Rebecca "Becky" Anne Kisner, 58, of Fairmont, got a call from the Lord early Saturday (Jan. 28, 2017). She answered his call and peacefully passed from this life.
She was born in Charleston on Oct. 29, 1958, a daughter of Theodore Simmons of Fairmont and the late Lois Belcher Simmons.
In addition to her father, Becky is survived by her sister, Beverly (Keith) Craig of Fairmont; two brothers, Theodore Simmons II of Florida and Stephen Vance of Charleston. She has several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Simmons Kriston.
Becky was a Seventh Day Adventist by faith. She loved her dog Ruby Sue more than anything. Becky loved crafts and watching daytime television. She adored tuna salad and cherry Jello. She was a loving, caring friend who gave what she had to others. She has left behind many friends who will miss her infectious laugh and contagious voice.
Becky worked at McCroy's, McDonald's and Sauro's Laundry, and she donated much of her time at Fitzwater's to help others.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held at a later date, to be announced. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her name to the Marion County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 905, Fairmont, WV 26555-0905.
