On Saturday (Aug. 5, 2017), this world lost an incredibly strong and beautiful woman, Pauline Mae Huffman, 87, who passed away peacefully at Hospice House and Support Care shortly after moving to Williamsburg, Virginia, from Morgantown.
She was born in Shinnston, along with her twin brother Paul, to the late David L. VanMeter and Viola Parsons VanMeter.
Pauline will be remembered as a loving, nurturing mother and incredible cook for her family.
She is preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Charles M. Huffman, Jr.; son-in-law, Willie Hayhurst; and granddaughter, Becki Hayhurst.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Vicki Hayhurst, Linda Harris (Jim), Michael Huffman (Pam), Diana Zelenak (Steven) and Suzanne Stuart; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and former son-in-law, Art Stuart.
A private graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Park, Fairmont, West Virginia. Arrangements are by Nelsen Funeral Home of Williamsburg, Virginia. Online condolences may be offered at www.nelsencares.com.
