Patricia Lou Goddard, 59, of Baxter, passed from this life Monday (Oct. 23, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Fairmont, on May 14, 1958, a daughter of the late Ernest and Edythe C. Kerrigan Bagwell.
Patty served as the head cook at the John Manchin Health Care for 20 years and had previously cooked at the Poky Dot restaurant. She was a Christian by faith and had formerly attended the Salvation Army Church. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, doing crafts and watching comedies on television.
Mrs. Goddard is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dallas "Junior" Goddard; her son, David (Michaella) Goddard of Kodol; two brothers, James (Carolyn) Bagwell and Ronald (Ruth) Bagwell both of Fairmont; four sisters, Wanda Fultz of Frederick, Maryland, Nancy Aspinall of Fairmont, Diana Conner of Fairmont and Jacqueline (Mike) Kovac of Rivesville; three grandchildren, Hunter (Camryn) Goddard, Sky Goddard and Delila Goddard; one great-grandson, Jason Ryder Goddard; also several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Allen Goddard, and two brothers-in-law, Morris Fultz and George Conner.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Frey Home For Funerals (Historic Chapel), 320 Madison St., Fairmont. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Hostutler officiating. In keeping with her wishes, following the service her body will be cremated.
