Patricia Lynn Dana


Patricia Lynn Dana, 70, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 28, 1949, in Newport, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Martin L. Dana and Marcella E. (Sandt) Dana.

During her younger years, Patricia lived for eight years on base in BasOahu, Hawaii, while her father, a Naval Commander, was stationed at Barbara's Point Naval Base. Patricia retired after 42 years of service with the FBI as a computer specialist, working in Washington D.C. and Clarksburg. She was the Treasurer and the Areawide Captain of TOPS organization.

Patricia is survived by her brothers, Richard Dana and his wife, Sherry, of Silver Spring, Maryland, and David Dana, of Rockville, Maryland; nephews, Austin Dana and Logan Dana, both of Maryland; and numerous cousins.
She is also survived by her best friend, Denise Lawson and her husband, Randy, of Virginia. Patricia and Denise equally shared Denise's two daughters, Wendy Murrah and Wesli Jensen; Denise's sons-in-law, Pedro Adams, Rob Jensen and John Murrah; and most beloved, Denise's five grandchildren, Devin and Ryan Adams, Kylie and Natalie Jensen and Alyssa Murrah.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her nephew, Taylor Dana.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Marion County Unit, 122 S. High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501 or the National Kidney Foundation, 2403 Sidney St. #230, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
In keeping with her wishes, Patricia will be cremated. The family will receive friends at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St, Fairmont, on Friday, August 16, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
