Pastor Ray Lee Crabtree
After high school, Ray graduated from Northeast Bible College in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, and later went on to serve the Potomac Network of the Assemblies of God in the Potomac District as a Presbyter from 1986-1988, and as an Executive Presbyter from 1988 - 2019. Ray pastored for 54 years and had a passion for the "lost"; he pastored in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, and in Fairmont, West Virginia, at Trinity Assembly of God Church from 1974 - 2016.
Ray was a beloved husband of 53 and a half years, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the West Virginia outdoors. He was a friend and mentor to many; he had a servant's heart and was full of grace. Ray stood tall in life, and he stands tall in death; he now stands healed and victorious in the presence of Jesus.
Ray is survived by his wife and best friend, Gladys J. Crabtree, of Fairmont; two daughters: Janel Hawley and her husband Michael, of North Port, Florida, and Theresa Teets and her husband Eric, of Sarasota, Florida; three granddaughters: Arielle Brayonna Teets, Makayla Janaye Teets, and Lydia Mae Hawley.
Ray is survived by brother, Franklin S. Crabtree, of Oldtown, Maryland; sister, Deloris J. Koon, of Winchester, Virginia; and sister-in-law, Doris Crabtree, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and nieces and nephews: Stacey Melton, Tonya Swift, Angela Brailer, Frankie Crabtree, Ronald Crabtree, Randall Crabtree, Debra Lowden, Donna Crabtree Hiller, and Danine Crabtree.
Ray is also survived by sisters-in-law, Judy Armstrong, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania and Cinda and William Kauffman, of Shippenburg, Pennsylvania; and half-brother and sisters-in-law: Dana and Perry Ward, of Caledonia, Pennsylvania, and David and Lori Group, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald E. Crabtree.
