Opal Pearl Radcliff Opal Pearl Radcliff, 82, of Fairmont, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Fairmont on Aug. 14, 1936 a daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca (Huffman) Wolfe. Opal was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a faithful member of the Tri City Church of God. She enjoyed attending Church, singing in the choir, taking walks and playing Bingo. Most of all she loved spending time with her family especially the children. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jerry A. Radcliff; two sons: Robert Radcliff, of Fairmont and Gary Radcliff and partner, Cheryl Beeson, of Virginia; two daughters: Edna North and her husband James, of Pennsylvania and Rebecca Radcliff, of Fairmont; three grandchildren: Rebecca Freshwater, Tabitha Burford and Amanda Yermasek; and great-grandchildren: Alex, Damion, Trinity, James, Miranda and Emily, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her brothers: Alfe Wolfe, Lawrence Wolfe, Earl Wolfe, and Ocle Merle Wolfe; and her sister, Sarah Kennedy.
Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 7 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the Radcliff Family at www.carpenterandford.com.
