Norma's Story

Norma Lee (Croaston) Moorehead, 94, of Helens Run, passed away peacefully Saturday morning (April 8, 2017) at Fazio's Elder Care in Monongah.
She was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Everson, daughter of the late Hazel and Clara (Blair) Croaston.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Colbert who was killed in 1944 in military action; her second husband, Frederick "Bud" Moorehead in 1981; and her son, Frederick "Fred" Moorehead in January 2016.
She is survived by her daughters and daughter-in-law, Donna Davis and her husband William of Monongah, Linda Pruitte and husband Richard of Fairmont and Linda Moorehead of Carolina; three sisters, Doris Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland, Edna Atkins of Baltimore, Maryland, and Naomi Perry of Helens Run; a brother, Roy Croaston of Baltimore, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Tim Davis and wife Christina of Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania, Brian Davis of Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, Bruce Davis of Fairmont, Lisa Church and husband Brett of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Erin Garrison and husband Jeff of Four States, Kerri Franks and husband Matt of Lake Lynn, Pennsylvania and Brice Moorehead and wife Julie of Carolina. Norma is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Some of her greatest pastimes were reading, her flower gardens and bird watching in her gazebo. She also attended The Church of God of Prophecy throughout her entire life.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care and the caregivers at Fazio's Elder Care.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Max "Sunny" Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Enterprise.
