Nellie's Story

Nellie "Nell" Mae Campbell Berry, 85, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday (July 19, 2016)?at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.
Nell was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on Feb. 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Chewning Campbell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Bernell Berry.
In addition to her husband, Nell is survived by four children, Catie Schmidt (Kendell) of Defiance, Missouri, Louis Berry (Sandy) of Foley, Missouri, Nathan Berry (Cyndi) of Fairmont and Deneen Berry (Marvis) of St. Louis, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Wesley Campbell and her sisters, Violet Kappler and Dorothy Snider.
Nell loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a member of West Fork Fellowship Church in Fairmont. She was a prolific writer, writing poetry as well as literature. She was a lover of music and crocheting. Nell dedicated her life to her family.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Friday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fairmont.
