Minnie Louise Winemiller


Minnie "Louise" Winemiller, 87, of Mannington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 11, 1931 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Harlan Riddle and Dessie (Moore) Riddle-Willie.
Louise was a member of the Plum Run Methodist Church, where she had the pleasure of teaching youth in Sunday School. She was also a member of the Mannington Church of Christ.
Louise is survived by son, Douglas Winemiller Jr. of Mannington; daughter, Patricia Martin, of Oklahoma; and brother, Charles Riddle and family, of Utah.
She is survived by grandchildren: Shawn Willey, Rita Gere, Mary Martin, Lynda Martin, Jonathan Martin, Douglas Winemiller III, and Travis Winemiller, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Louise is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews: Barbara Southern, Ernie Chase, Eric and Melissa Southern and family, Josh and Courtney Southern and family, and Mike and Tina Bright and family.
Louise was blessed with a wonderful friend, Sandy Sliger, who shared her many interests, including social clubs, Red Hats, women's church organizations (Plum Run CEO, Farmington and Mannington Senior Centers, and Belle and Gents).
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Douglas "Pat" Winemiller; sister, Mary Chase; and brothers, George Riddle and Albert Riddle.
Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 2 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m., with services starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Evangelist Mike Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
