Mary Stollings Perdue, 94, of Dog Fork, Manila, West Virginia, passed away Feb. 8, 2018 at Dignity Hospice House, Chapmanville. She was born on Hollywood Branch, Boone County, to the late Willie and Edna Stollings.
She was a lifelong member of Manila Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning, reading and working crossword puzzles. Mary along with her husband, Glenn, owned and operated Perdue Grocery.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Glenn, of 53 years; four brothers; four sisters; and an infant granddaughter, Sara Beth.
She is survived by daughter, Judy of Manila, her constant caregiver with whom she resided; three sons, Steve (Cindy) of Charleston, Roger (Patti) of Fairmont, and State Treasurer John (Robin) of Cross Lanes; four granddaughters, Shelle Miller and Amanda Hamilton of Fairmont, Jessica Perdue of Fairfax, Virginia, and Emily Perdue of Morgantown; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Kaelin Hamilton and Brody Hamilton, all of Fairmont.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dignity Hospice House for their kind and compassionate care.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Jim Owsten and Ron Abshire officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
