Mary Jo Nickolich
Mary Jo Nickolich, 87 of Fairmont passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 a John Manchin Sr. Health Care.
She was born in Fairmont on August 3, 1929 a daughter of the late John Louis Reese and Delcie D. (Hayhurst) Reese.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Nickolich on May 15, 2016.
Mary Jo graduated from East Fairmont High School. She worked several years at Owens-Illinois glass plant in Fairmont. In addition, she was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her husband had an upholstery and woodworking business, working for Grants, Sears and Alasky's. Mary Jo and Bob were members of the Covenant Church in Fairmont. Mary Jo enjoyed bingo, shopping and sewing, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Craig Nickolich and his wife Jeannette Ramsey Nickolich of Fairmont; her daughter, Kathy Nickolich Fox and her husband Mike of Scottville, Virginia; five special grandchildren, Michael Nickolich, Steven Nickolich, Scott Nickolich and his wife Alisha, Summer Fox Millway and her husband Tommy and Skyler Fox and six great grandchildren, Demi Nickolich, Luca Nickolich, Eli Nickolich, Colton Millway, Wyatt Millway and Avery Millway.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean Linn.
Mrs. Nickolich's Family would like to thank the staff of John Manchin, Sr. Health Care for their wonderful care of Mary Jo during her stay with them.
Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm and on Wednesday 9am to 11am.
The funeral service will be at 11am on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery.
