Mary's Story

Mary Margaret Lucas, 76, of Mannington, passed away Friday (April 15, 2016) at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Shinnston, daughter of the late Lewis and Emma Fletchner Hendricks.
Mary is survived by five daughters, Connie Kendall of Mannington, Opal and Eugene Brown of Damascus, Arizona, Debbie and Larry Hickman of O'Dells Knob, Katrina and Doug Wilfong of Bices Run, and Carlinda and Joseph Matheny of Fort Stewart, Georgia; one son, Randy Revels of Bices Run; three stepsons, William, Ray and Brian Lucas of Arizona; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; more than 100 foster children who lived at the Lucas house; four sisters, Clara Litchfield, Bessie Snyder, Linda Swiger and Edna Alibone; three brothers, Lewis Hendricks, Glenn Hendricks and James Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by both her husbands, Robert Revels and Harold Lucas; and one son, Albert Revels.
Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, with Pastor Dave Harris. Interment will follow in Pine Bluff Cemetery.
