Mary Lee Hines

September 13, 1946 - September 12, 2018

Mary Lee Hines, 71, transitioned to heaven on the 12th day of September, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown.
Raised in the Grays Flat area of Grant Town, Mary was the daughter of Rev. James Daniels Jr. and Ethel Mae (Mosley) Daniels. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Mary Daniels.
Mary attended school in Fairview and was a 1964 graduate of Fairview High and was employed at Westinghouse Lighting Company. Mary Lee met her husband of 42 years, Frank Hines, at a church cookout and they were married in 1970 at Mt Beulah Baptist Church.
After the birth of her second daughter, Mary became a homemaker and stay at home mom, a position she both delighted in and treasured.
Mrs. Hines gave her life to the Lord in 1974 and was a faithful servant working in the church in many capacities over the decades as Sunday school teacher, Pastors Aid President, pulpit Steward, hospitality committee, Holy Young People's Union (HYPU) advisor, usher and choir member to name a few. She was a faithful and supportive member of Restoring Life Ministries, attending online until the time of her passing. Mary Lee was also involved with her community alongside her husband as one of the original board members of the 612 MAC Corporation.
Mrs. Hines was a strong woman with the spirit of a champion overcoming many illnesses and diagnosis. She was a dialysis patient at the Fresenius Kidney Care Center in Fairmont for 13 ½ years and was a joy to all she encountered. She witnessed about the love of Jesus and the need for salvation to many and prayed for many others while receiving treatment herself.
Mary Lee loved her daughters with a beautiful passion. This love was returned in their care for her. She loved her family, she loved people and most of all she loved her God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hines, and her parents, Rev. James Daniels Jr. and Ethel M. Daniels.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, Antoinette M. Hines and Monica L. Hines; siblings, Melvin (JoAnn) Daniels, Rebecca (Kenneth) Deahl, Silver Spring, Maryland, Shirley (Michael) Little, Fairmont, Robert (Kathleen) Daniels, Durham, North Carolina and Racquel Daniels, Morgantown; Aunts and Uncles Marva Edwards, Macon, Georgia, Donald (Selena) Mosley, Cleveland, Ohio, Kim Mosley, Youngstown, Ohio; her in-laws, Juanita Arnold, Fairmont, Wilma J. Reeves, Greenville South Carolina, Chester (Janet) Hines, Charlotte, North Carolina, Helen Hines, Piedmont, Nellie Hines, Carolina, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at the Covenant Church, 17 Everlasting Dr., Fairmont, with Pastor Kirk M. Moore as Officiant. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m.-noon.
