Mary Louise Heston, 91, of Bridgeport formerly of Fairmont passed away Saturday (Jan. 20 2018) following a long illness. She was born in Lumberport a daughter of the late Alston Hobart Campbell and Carmen Faye (Swiger) Campbell.
Mrs. Heston was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Heston in 1979.
During WWII she worked at the Westinghouse Glass Plant in Fairmont for a short time. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Lumberport High School. Her interest included genealogy and all things in nature. She most enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, baking and caring for her family.
Mary Louise is survived by her son, John Michael Heston and his wife Gayle of Sandusky, Ohio; her daughter, Sheila Ann Heston, with whom she made her home, in Bridgeport; her grandson, Christopher, Michael Heston of Florida; two brothers, William Dale Campbell of Fairmont and John Darrell Campbell and his wife Sandra of Utah; and a sister, Doris Faye Swiger of Bridgeport.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Edward Heston; and three brothers, Hobart "Bud" Campbell, Kenneth David Campbell and Gerald Sherley Swiger.
Friends and family may call from 1-8 p.m. Monday and 10-11 a.m, Tuesday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont. The funeral service will be Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
