Mary Bell Angle, 71, departed this life on Wednesday (April 5, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
She was born to loving parents, the late Rev. Alex and Evelyn Greenlee, on Feb. 27, 1946, in Fairmont.
Mary was the proud mother of three children, George Angle III of Boynton Beach, Florida, Carlos Angle of Fairmont and Ronda Angle of Lewis Center, Ohio; a sister, Edna Hooper Jones of Easton, Pennsylvania; a brother, William Greenlee of Montana Mines; her grandchildren, Marisa, Felicia, Tyler, Cory, Royce, Tylo, Tyauna, Caden; and great-grandchildren, Reece, Major, Ariella.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Alex Greenlee; and sisters, Dr. Evelyn Lewis and Kathleen Greenlee.
She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and had worked as a nutritionist and cook at Monongalia General Hospital. Mary was a devoted homemaker and mother, and enjoyed traveling to visit her children. She was studying to become a minister at the School of Biblical Theology.
In her early years, Mary helped run her family-owned church, the First Baptist Church in Montana Mines, where she was also the choir director.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Main Street, Montana Mines. Repass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Center in Montana Mines.
