Marvin's Story

Marvin D. Fisher, 85, of Murrysville Pennsylvania, died Friday (Oct. 21, 2016) in Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
He was born May 9, 1931, in Mount Harmony, a son of the late Jerome "Daniel" and Jettie June (Swisher) Fisher.
Marvin was a United States Air Force veteran having served as a strategic air command pilot. He was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric where he worked as a mechanical engineer.
Marvin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Export, Knights of Columbus Manordale Valley Council 4226 and was active in the Murrysville/Export Republican Committee (MERC).
Surviving is his beloved wife, Loretta Fisher; loving children, Gregory Fisher Price of Erie, Pennsylvania, Karen Fisher of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, John (Janet) Fisher of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, Mary (Jeffrey) Williams of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, Brian (Gilda) Fisher of Benicia, California and Brenda Fisher of Murrysville, Pennsylvania; brothers, Kenneth Arden Dale Fisher of Fairmont. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today in St. Mary Church with Father Joseph Bonafed as celebrant. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Penn Township with military honors accorded by the Greensburg V.F.W. Post 33 Honor Guard.
