Marvin Lynn Costello, 76, of Baxter passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2017 peacefully at his residence, surrounded by family.
He was born March 15, 1941 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late William E. Costello and Opal A. Moran Costello.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marcie Costello; three daughters, Mitzi Cooper of Delaware, OH, Mary Costello of Baxter, and Marsha Wells and husband Rodney of Rivesville; five grand children, Jeremy Costello and wife Jennifer, Matthew Costello, Jacob Pyles, Ashley Jenkins and husband Donnie, and Emma Wells; Six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by six sisters, Maxine Patton, Jean Cowdry, Betty Jo Page, Alma Shaw, Alice Hawkins, Iva Mae Gorbey, and Stella Shook; one brother, Bill Costello; his Father-in-law, Henry W. Chris; a grandchild, Katarina Wells; and three great grandchildren, Alaina Costello, Conner Jenkins, and Jazmine Jenkins.
Marvin was a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal, and was a member of the UMWA. He was an avid Mountaineer sports and NASCAR fan.
In accordance to his wishes, the family has donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry. There will be a memorial service for family and friends at the Baxter Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, September 30th at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com
