Lynnette's Story

On Saturday (June 3, 2017), Lynnette Teneice Royster, 33, of Morgantown, formerly of Fairmont, passed away peacefully at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a short battle with kidney disease.
She was born Oct. 18, 1983, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry Anthony Royster of Pittsburgh and Robin Beans of Morgantown.
She was baptized at an early age and graduated from East Fairmont High School. She lived a vibrant life that reflected in her style of dress, and her favorite color was red.
Lynnette had a huge personality and a host of friends at Marjorie Gardens in Morgantown. She referred to them as her brothers and sisters. She loved to dance and created a new hair style every day.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Amber Lashania Royster of Morgantown; her brother, Anthony Lamar Royster of Pittsburgh; her grandmother, Gladys Beans of Richmond, Virginia; two aunts, Kristy (Jimmy) Evans-Beulah and Annette (Alvin) Lindsey of Pittsburgh; three uncles, Reginald (Karen) Smith, Donald (Leslie) Royster and Richard (Ja'lisa)Royster all of Pittsburgh; her bestie Gregory Lynn Morris Jr. and his son Gregory Lynn Morris III whom she helped raise; a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Marcell Deshawn Royster; her grandparents, Henry and Valentine Royster and Walter Lee Stricklin.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the Morning Star Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Wesley Dobbs officiating. Following the service the body will be cremated. The family asks that everyone wear red in her memory.
