Loretta Sue Hibbs, 49, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Katy, passed away Saturday (Feb. 10, 2018) at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born Dec. 25, 1968 at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, a daughter of Linda Lou Brown of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and the late Arnold Edward Humphrey.
Loretta was employed as a bus driver for the Cabarrus County Schools. She was a Baptist by faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Harry Lee Hibbs Jr. whom she married on May 21, 1988; two sons, Matthew Charles Hibbs and Andrew David Hibbs both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Mary Kay (David) Locke of Rineyville, Kentucky; nieces, Amanda Kay (Jody) Grady of Taylorsville, Kentucky and Kayla (Kevin) Kysor of Mannington; nephews, Richard Allen Locke of New York, New York, and Zachary Hibbs of New Orleans; sisters-in-law, Sheila Marie (Roy) Runyon of Monongah and Christina Lynn Hibbs of Shinnston. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Harry Hibbs Sr. and Bernice Hibbs.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Marvin Stalnaker officiating.
