Linda Sue (Radcliffe) Alvaro, 63, of Fairmont passed away suddenly on Thursday (Nov. 9, 2017) at her residence.
She was born in Fairmont, on Aug. 22, 1954, daughter of the late Ralph and Betty Jane Shaw Radcliffe.
Linda retired from Dr. Horner's office as a medical assistant. She loved to sew, quilt and spend time with her grandkids. Linda also loved to go to yard sales to pick up bargains to give to loved ones.
While in high school, Linda was in numerous organizations and clubs, including Keyette Club and Student Council, and was prom queen.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Jarrod Maxen "Max" Morrison and wife Nikki of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Thomas (Tommy) Alvaro and companion Kristen Cutright of Fairmont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jon Morrison, Danielle Hyman, Alexis Satterfield, Sophia Morrison and Mason Morrison, and two great-grandchildren, Skyler Grace Hyman and Caroline Elizabeth Hyman.
She is also survived by two sisters, Beckie Jane Radcliffe and husband John E. Carroll of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, and Carol Ann Radcliffe Muto and husband J.J. of Fairmont, and a dear cousin who was more like a brother, Billy and wife Donna Shaw of Monumental. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19 at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont. In keeping with Linda's wishes, she will be cremated following visitation, and burial will be held at a later date.
