Kathryn Lee Vangilder, 78, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 21, 2017).
She was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Calhoun County, daughter of the late Norman and Mildred Bell.
Kathryn was a nurse at Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont Clinic and Grantsville Hospital. She also spent time transporting cancer patients to their appointments. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Hubert Dye; a daughter, Joella Collins and husband Rick; stepchildren, Jeannie Dye of Alabama, Ernie Vangilder, Patricia Vangilder, Teri Clough and Mike Vangilder; a brother, Gary Bell and Charolette of Parkersburg; a sister, Janet Stephens; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by two children, Christianna and Billy Woodyard.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
