Karl Edward "Whistle" Conrad, 57, of Fairmont (Bellview community), passed away Monday (Dec. 19, 2016) at his residence.
He was born Oct. 6, 1959, in Fairmont, a son of the late Hurcle D. and Mary Catherine (Morris) Conrad.
Karl was an employee of Fairmont Regional Medical Center in the maintenance department. He loved the family camp at Holly River. He was also an avid West Virginia University fan, Bengals fan and Jeff Gordon fan as well as a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Lynn Price Conrad; two sons, Michael Karl Conrad of Bellview and Alan Wayne (Amber) Fluharty of Fairmont; a daughter, Meegan (Mike) Fortney of Montana Mines; two grandsons, Landon Alan Fluharty and Ethan Ryder Hawkins; a sister, Nancy (Jack) Edgell of Morgantown; four brothers, Kenneth (Sue) Conrad, Keith (Joyce) Conrad, Tim (Becky) Conrad all of Fairmont, and Mark (Sissy) Conrad of Maryland; a mother-in-law, Betty Price of Bellview; a sister-in-law, Joan (Tom) Patterson of Texas; two brothers-in-law, Pete (Juanita) Price of Fairmont and Mick (Lisa) Price of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald "Mick" Price.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Roy Weese officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Farmington.
