Anita Joyce DeWitt Young, 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday (Jan. 2, 2018) at John Manchin, Sr., Health Care.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1938 in Bitner, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Harry Edward and Mary Josephine "Jo" DeWitt.
Joyce graduated from East Fairmont High School and retired from Alling & Cory in Fairmont as an office manager. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in Fairmont.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Marshall Young; her son, Michael Young and his wife Leisa of North Carolina; her daughters, Michelle Dyer and her husband Ray of Arizona and Shannon Murphy and her husband Brent of Fairmont; her son-in-law, David W. Frame of Clarksburg; her very special grandchildren, Matti Noell Minnix, David J. Frame, Zachery Dyer, McCall Reheis, Mekenzie Dyer, Parker Dyer, Shawn Young, Mikayla Gross, Holly Mohr, Mariah Hartman, Dillon Murphy and Makenna Murphy; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her siblings, Thomas DeWitt and his wife Sharon of Morgantown, Pat Conaway and her husband John of Fairmont, Judy Compton and her husband Warren of Fairmont and Kathy Mooney and her husband Greg of Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin E. Young Frame.

Family and friends will be received from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, Route 73, North, Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 with Bishop J. C. Bott officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
