Joseph Robert Kritzer, 91, formerly of Jeanette, Pennsylvania, husband of the late Velma Bonnie Bracken Kritzer, passed away Sunday (Sept. 10, 2017).
Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Joseph Alexander and Grace Gaul Kritzer. A World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, he was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He was retired after 35 years from West Penn Power and Mon Power.
A violinist in the Westmoreland Symphony, Mr. Kritzer was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity, and was a member of the Jaycees. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Churches of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, Fairmont, and Anderson, South Carolina.
He is survived by children, Susan Kritzer Butler, David Joseph Kritzer, Bonnie Jean Relick, Roger Allan Kritzer; seven siblings; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by grandson, Benjamin Kritzer; son-in-law, Thomas Butler; brother, Patrick Kritzer.
