Joseph "Peppy" Frank, 90, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday evening (Nov. 29, 2017) at his residence.
He was born on July 11, 1927, in Caulonia, Province of Reggio Calabria, Italy, son of the late Larry and Rose Danielle (Franco) Frank.
He formerly owned and operated Gaston Body Shop in Fairmont and retired as an insurance adjuster in 1987 from Aetna Insurance Co. He was a member of the Marian Assembly 2114 Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, and was also a veteran and served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and had a special interest in bird hunting and field trial dogs.
Peppy is survived by his wife, Eva Argiro Frank, and one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Vozniak of Fairmont. He is also survived by two grandsons whom he adored, Michael and Joseph Vozniak, and one nephew, Larry Bonasso.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Catherine "Rina" and Russell Bonasso.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont. A private burial will take place at a later date.
