Joan Luzine "Dean" Radcliff, 69, of Hagans Community, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Home Morgantown.
She was born July 3, 1948, in Sutton, daughter of the late Russell Lee and Bessie E. Cogar Dean.
Mrs. Radcliff was a member of Hagans Christian Church. She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and a graduate of West Virginia Career College with an associate degree in business administration. She was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Lee Radcliff of Hagans Community, married 50 years; two daughters and their husbands, Judy Lynn and Richard Barker of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and Sharon Louise and David Dayton of Fairmont; two sons, Roy Patrick Radcliff of Wisconsin and John Edward and his wife Sheila Radcliff of Crescent, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren, Katelyn and Tommy Knotts of Fairmont, Corey Tenney of Roswell, Georgia, Tristian Tenney of Roswell, Georgia, David Dayton of Fairmont, Hannah Dayton of Fairmont, Samantha Barker of Avalon, Pennsylvania, Zane Barker of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Allyson Barker of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Logan Radcliff of Crescent, Pennsylvania, and Liliana Radcliff of Crescent, Pennsylvania; one great-grandchild, Abigail Knotts of Fairmont; a sister, Linda Dean of Fairmont; two brothers, Calvin Wayne and his wife Ann Dean of Fairmont, and Denzil Dean of Mannington; a brother-in-law and his wife, Clifford and Pat Radcliff of Ridgeley; a sister-in-law, Mary A. Norman of Hagans Community; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and their spouses, Clell and Mary Dean and Kenneth and Marilea Dean, and a brother-in-law, Ed Norman.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today, from 1-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Mapleshire Nursing Home and the Hospice staff from West Virginia Caring for the excellent care she received.
