Jester Curtis Kerns Jester Curtis Kerns, 87, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fairmont on July 22, 1931, a son of the late Benjamin Harrison Kerns and Della Vern Sager Kerns. Jester was preceded in death by his loving wife Dula Laurence Woodrum Kerns.
Jester is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Moore of Marmet, WV; two grandchildren, Robert Alexander Moore and Christopher Dennis Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jester was preceded in death by his brothers, Vester, Wester, Kester, Chester, Lester and Nester.
Jester was a 1949 graduate of East Fairmont High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a former employee at Fairmont State College in the maintenance department and retired from Owens-Illinois after 32 years of service.
The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2PM until 8PM and on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 10 AM until 11AM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11AM with Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. A committal service will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.

I would Iike to send my deepest condolences. I was so sorry to read of your loss. Please accept comfort and hope from the scriptures found at (Acts 24:15 and 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 NWT, jw.org) that states that we can have hope that the loved ones we lose will be brought back to life and that until then God promises to comfort us through any trial that we are going through. May God continue to be with you all.

Sorry to read of Jester's passing. He worked at FSC whenever I did and always was willing to help set up the
Ballroom for Pre-registration and Registration. Never gave me a hard time. Prayers are with the family.
