James Anthony "Tony" Moore, 40, of Fairview passed away on Tuesday morning at home of heart failure.
He was a carpenter by trade. He loved motorcycles, boating, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Tony was a people person. He never knew a stranger.
Tony was born on Sept. 28, 1976, the only son of Jim and Helen (Stemple) Moore. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Heather (Brown) Moore; two sons, Tony Moore and Logan Moore. Also surviving are three sisters and their spouses, Kim Nine (Jeff), Tonya Hubbart (Alan) and Misty Nuzum (Lance); two neices, Traci (Bobby) and Shelby (Jordan); four nephews, JT Hubbart, Jimmy Hubbart, Hunter Nuzum, Colton Nuzum; two great-nephews, Zayden and Myles and three great-nieces, Jaelyn, Laila and Judas. In addition, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Rose Tannehill and his maternal grandfather, Donald "Pete" Stemple and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lou Stemple Riddle; his paternal grandfather, Charles W. Moore; and his aunt, Patty Jackson and three uncles, Donnie Stemple, Tim Moore and Gary Moore.
Friends and Family may call from 4-8 p.m. today, from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home with Pastor Marlene Mitchell officiating. Internment will follow at the Clermont Cemetery.
