James L Foley
He was born Jan. 4, 1952 at Daybrook, a son of the late Thelma Simpson Foley.
Jim was a retired coal miner having last worked at the prep plant. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District #31 of Fairmont. He was a 1969 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Patricia Diane Kennedy Foley; two sons and their spouses, James L. "Jimmie" Foley, Jr. and his wife Candy of Daybrook and Roger Foley of Daybrook; one daughter, Joanie Lynn Foley of Daybrook; two brothers, Orville "Bud" Foley of Fairview and Wayne Foley of Pentress; two sisters, Imogene Harkins of Waynesburg and Kay Lennett of Daleville, Alabama; four grandsons, James Foley, Austin Foley, Ethan Foley, and Levi Foley, and three granddaughters.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma "Sis" Clark and Ruby Mudgrag and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Foley and Raymond "Punk" Foley.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Jerry Teter officiating. Interment will follow in the Daybrook Cemetery.
