Ian Carroll McDougal, 50, of Elkins, died Saturday (June 17, 2017) at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins.
The son of David H. McDougal of Martinsville, Indiana, and the late Joan Cale McDougal, he was born Dec. 10, 1966, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Ian was retired U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica McDougal and Emma McDougal of Elkins; two sisters, Katherine E. Perkins and Stephanie J. Ingle; two brothers, Stephen J. McDougal and Stuart A. McDougal and two grandchildren, Gavin and Audrey Workman.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his grandparents: Harland and Dorothy Cale of Bruceton Mills and Eugene C. and Mary McDougal of Fairmont.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. time of service in the funeral home Friday at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home at Brandonville-Bruceton Mills. Burial will follow in the Sugar Valley Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
