Harold Hollis Cogar, 77, of Farmington, died Sunday (Dec. 31, 2017) at his residence.
He was born June 17, 1940 in Diana, a son of the late Pete Cogar and Mabel Bennett Cogar.
Harold was formerly employed by the Frontier and Camper Construction Co. and was the long-time owner and operator of Paw Paw Sack n Pack. He enjoyed hunting and watching football.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rose Mary Martin Cogar; three children, Robert (Ronnie Sue) Cogar, Fairmont, Becky (Raymond) Skidmore, Clarksburg and Jimmy Cogar, Shinnston; six step-children, Wendy (Donald) Field, Barrackville, Cindy Kay Hartley, Kingmont, Mindy (Elbert) Tichenor, Kingmont, William H. (Dawn) Hartley, Mandy Hartley and Joseph Hartley, all of Fairmont; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy (Linda) Cogar, Ohio; a sister, Shirley Cogar, Farmington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Timmy, Corky and Gerald Cogar.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Farmington.
