Gwendolyn J. Kinser, 94, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018. She was born Aug. 23, 1923 at Red House, Maryland, the daughter of the late Arnett and Ethel Gauer.
Gwendolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Marguerite Kisner of Cape Coral, Florida, with whom she made her home in her later years. Gwen is also survived by her grandson, Scott Kisner of Petersburg; two granddaughters, Amanda and Jason Morrison of Anderson, South Carolina; and Heather and Jeff Walker of Concord, North Carolina. She is survived by six great-grandchildren, Colin, and Ashley Kisner, Ethan and Madison Walker, and Gavin and Grace Holden.
Gwen was preceded in death by an infant son, David H. Kisner; sister, Creola Moran; and brother-in-law Clifford Moran.
She was employed at the Fairmont General Hospital for 10 years and Fairmont Clinic for 25 years, from which she retired in December 1988. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairmont.
In keeping with Gwen's wishes her body has been cremated and will be interred at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.
