George Olonzo Wilson Jr., 61, of Fairmont, passed June 25, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1956, in Fairmont, son of the late George and Martha Ann Wilson.
George was a retired coal miner working in various mines in the area for 33 years. He was a member of the UMWA and former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
George is survived by his wife, Charlene Belton; five children, Troy Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Jamie Kerns and husband Tom, Deva Belton and Martin Brooks all of Fairmont; and six grandchildren, Haley Kerns, Keyshaun Belton, Talaysha Williams, Ja'Kyle Belton, Dontae Carroll and Darius Conrad.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Jan Reese.
The family will receive friends from noon until 3 p.m. Friday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Buckland officiating.
