Gail L. Redmond, 71, of Barrackville, passed away Monday (Aug. 14, 2017) at West Virginia University Hospitals Ruby Memorial.
He was born in Fairmont on Feb. 22, 1946, a son of the late Everett Roscoe Redmond and the late Neva Clice Redmond Scritchfield.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Lynn Childers Redmond, whom he married Oct. 25, 1997. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Keith Redmond and his wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Linda Redmond; niece, Wendy Redmond Yeater; nephew, Jimmy Redmond and his wife Crystal; great-nephew, Noah Redmond; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Phyllis Childers and their children, Tracy Childers, Justin Childers and his fiancé Jennifer; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lisa and Mike Sivell.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Jean Lewis and Karen Lee Smith; and two brothers, Jerry Wayne Redmond and Ray Neil Redmond.
Gail was a Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Air Force. At his request, cremation services were provided. A private family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
