Edgar "Joe" Wise, 72, of Rivesville, went to be with his beautiful wife, Joyce Sine Wise, on Thursday (June 15, 2017).
He was born Jan. 19, 1945, a son of the late Kenneth Wise and Flossie Rice Wise.
Joe served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked as a coal miner for the Federal No. 2 mine and Kitt Energy. He also drove truck for Beverage Distributors of Clarksburg.
Surviving are one brother and spouse, James and Barbara Wise of Aiken, South Carolina; his daughter and her spouse, Joann and the Rev. Randy Taylor, with whom he made his home, of Rivesville; brother-in-law, Kenneth Sine of Jakes Run; sisters-in-laws, Judith Sine of Daybrook and Shirley Horner of Rivesville and sister-in-law and her spouse, Nancy and William Carpenter of Fairmont; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Wise; grandson, Corey Taylor; a brother and his spouse, Jack and Vicky Wise; a sister, Jane Aldrich; and two brothers-in-law, Jesse Sine Jr. and Jack Horner.
The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated and there will be no services.
