Donald R. Wilson
He was born in Lumberport on Nov. 25, 1937, a son of the late Willie Earl and Alice Virginia Martin Wilson.
Surviving are one brother, Earl Howard Wilson of Farmington; one sister, Phyllis Irene Ellison and her husband Bill of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Earl Howard Wilson Jr. and his wife Doris, Tammy Bock and her husband Billy, Ann Frances Rapier and her husband Anthony and Christina Olcott; and one aunt, Loraine Basnett of Idamay.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Judith Ann Wilson in infancy.
Donald was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a salesman and bookkeeper, having worked for Alasky's Furniture in Farmington and Hundred Auto. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Teverbaugh United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Dan Blake officiating. Interment will be in Lions Club Cemetery at Lumberport, where full military honors will be accorded.
