Dollie Mae Riggs, age 92, of Mannington, passed away on Tuesday (May 15, 2018) at Tygart Center Nursing Home. She was born March 9, 1926 at Marion County, a daughter of the late Lester and Sarah Hawkinberry Riggs.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Susie Jo Riggs of Mannington and Phyllis Jean Riggs of Mannington; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dollie was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Kendall and Inez Floyd, and six brothers, Lorn Norman Riggs, Ora "Dutch" Riggs, Sam Hugh Riggs, Junior Riggs, Jack Riggs and William "Bill" Riggs.
Dollie was a member of the Joe's Run Church of Christ. She attended the deaf and blind school in Romney. She enjoyed her chocolate candy. She loved music and her nieces and nephews. She was always faithful to her church.
Family and friends may call noon-1 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Charles Leroy Burdine officiating.
