Diana Lee Benson

February 18, 1966 - June 30, 2018

Diana Lee Benson, 52, of Fairmont, passed away (June 30, 2018) after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Diana was born Feb. 18, 1966.
Diana was a secretary and bartender by trade for several years. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High and enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with family and friends.
Diana is survived by her sister, Beth Starcher; brothers, Bub Benson and wife, Joni, and Scottie Benson and wife, Tammy; many nieces and nephews: Brandon and Megan Starcher; Erica Moore and husband, Drew; Brooklyn Lucas and husband, Will; Kayla Sallis; and Scottie and Blade Benson; several great-nieces and nephews; and lots of cousins.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, Claud Benson Jr., and mother, Nancy Benson.
Upon request, Diana has donated her remains to the Human Gift Registry to be used for educational purposes.
A celebration of life memorial will be held from 2-6 p.m. July 28 at Baxter Fire Hall. A covered dish is appreciated. Meat and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. If you wish to do, B.Y.O.B.

My heart was saddened to hear the news of Diana’s passing. I want to express my condolences to the family and tell Bub, Scott and Beth I would tell you it gets easier in time but I would be lying, just try finding comfort knowing she is heaven and is no longer in pain.
