David Eric Wilson, 54, of Shinnston, passed away Sunday (July 16, 2017) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Eric was born June 14, 1963, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Richard Earl Wilson of Clarksburg, and the late Doris Lee (Weatherholt) Wilson.
Eric loved to hunt and spend time with his family.
In addition to his mother, Eric was preceded in death by one son, David Luther Wilson; his paternal grandparents, Lester and Edna Wilson; and maternal grandparents, Luther and Lillie Weatherholt; three uncles, Donald Eugene Wilson, Junior Weatherholt and John Keiffer.
Along with his father, Eric is survived by one loving son, Andrew Lee Wilson; one grandson, David Lee Wilson; two bothers, Richard Earl Wilson and wife Kim and Mark Wilson, all of Shinnston; three aunts, Margaret Keiffer of New Jersey, Edna Weatherholt of Parkersburg and Ellie Wilson of Washington; his special nephew, Brian Wilson of Shinnston; and a special friend, Carla Morgan, of Fairmont; and several cousins.
Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dorsey Funeral Home 701 South Pike St., Shinnston, WV. 26431. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dorsey Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will follow at Enterprise I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Enterprise.
