David R. Oliveto II, 39, passed peacefully on Wednesday (Sept. 14, 2017) at WVU Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born June 6, 1978 in Fairmont, a son of Kandy Hartley, the late David R. Oliveto and step-father John R. Hartley.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Carrie Oliveto.
In addition to his wife, David leaves behind to cherish his memory his two daughters, Catherine Elizabeth Oliveto and Caitlyn Marie Oliveto; his sister, Morgan Hartley; and his grandparents, Bonnie J. Brown and the late Richard and Teresa Oliveto.
David worked as a field engineer and welder displaying great work ethic and enthusiasm in every project. David truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family infecting everyone with his charismatic personality and a smile that melted your heart.
Family, friends and others whose lives David touched are invited to the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Friday from 12-6 p.m.
After 6 p.m., a celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 629 at 802 Fairmont Avenue. All are welcome.
There will be a graveside service held at noon Saturday at Jacob Cochran Cemetery, Shortline Highway, Reader.
