David Allen Glasscock, 64, and Sandra Sue "Sandy" Masters Glasscock, 66, of Farmington, died Thursday (Oct. 13, 2016) as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
David was born Dec. 14, 1951, in Farmington, a son of the late William Henry Glasscock Sr. and L. Nellie Dawson Glasscock. He was retired from Fairmont State University maintenance department with more than 20 years of service.
Sandy was born July 18, 1950, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah Jane Bland Masters. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Eugene Jenkins Sr. She was formerly employed at the Arbors of Fairmont.
Survivors include their children, David Shawn Glasscock and Jamie Allen Glasscock, both of Barrackville, Misty and Donald Quinn, Shinnston, Donald E. Jenkins Jr. and wife Mandie, Farmington, Melissa Ann Jenkins and fiancé Joseph Domenic, Ohio, and Daniel B. Jenkins, Morgantown; several grandchildren; David's siblings, William H. (Bernice) Glasscock Jr., Farmington, Stanley (JoJo) Glasscock and Karen (Dr. Edwin) Morris, Farmington; Sandy's siblings, Robert (Florence) Masters, Mannington, and Dorothy Smith, Mannington.
Also preceding them in death are David's sister, Yvonne Wix; and Sandy's infant son, William Jenkins; and sisters, Pat Newton, Elsie Johnson and Delores Masters.
David and Sandy were devoted to one another and inseparable. They were members of Ireland Chapel in Farmington, loved flea markets, auctions and bingo. David really enjoyed fishing, while Sandy really enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Sandy was a loving wife and mother, as David was a loving husband and father. Their dog Chewie was their life.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Richard Fluharty officiating. Interment will be in the Whetstone Cemetery near Mannington.
