Daisy Mae Mike, 72, of Mannington, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2017) at West Virginia University Hospital.
She was born July 28, 1945, at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Elsie Rice and Carrie Taylor Rice.
She is survived by her husband, William T. Mike Sr., with whom she was married to for 48 years (June 3, 1970); a son, Tony W. Fry and wife Tina S. of Little Mountain, South Carolina; four stepchildren, Frank and Patty Mike of Fairmont, James H. and Beverly Mike of Atwood Lake, Ohio, William and Julie Mike Jr. of Mannington, and Becky Mike of Millersburg, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Samantha Fry, Tiana Fry, Frank Mike Jr., Matthew Mike, James Mike Jr., Courtney Mike, Josh Mike, Hunter Mike, Megan Mike, Heather Cool and Brandon Cool; nine great-grandchildren, Josef Merilate, Jayden Pickett, Gavin Mike, Elijah Mike, Maddox Mike, Madeline Mike, Zoe Canfield, Damien Hughes and Noah Wagers; and several nieces and nephews.
Daisy was preceded in death by several siblings; a granddaughter, Amber Denise Fry; and stepdaughter, Dorothy Virginia Mike.
Daisy was employed as a home health aide in our area as she liked to help people. She enjoyed camping, and she was a member of the Beegum Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing video games on her computer and loved being around the kids.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Lee Bowman officiating. Interment will be at Beegum Cemetery.
