Charles "Chuck" William Marsh, 58, of Fairmont, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 28, 2019. He was born on July 04, 1960, in Philippi, a son of the late Elsie M. (Gribble) Marsh.

Chuck was a tree arborist by trade, and will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, tearing up and working on vehicles, climbing trees, but most of all, spending time with his family.

Chuck is survived by sons: Joseph Marsh, of Philippi, and Chris Marsh and wife Paula, of Fairmont; daughters: Jessica Toothman, of Fairmont, and Bethanne Heater and husband Allen, of Fairmont; mother-in-law, Billie May Sanders, of Fairmont; brothers and sisters: Donnie, Mike, Gloria, Bernita, and Peg; seven grandchildren: Matthew Marsh, Megan Dadisman, Alyvia Tucker, Christian Toothman, Emalee Tucker, Charles Asbury, and Tra Asbury; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of over 20 years, Viola "Vickie" Gay (Sanders) Marsh, who passed away on April 24, 2015.

He was also preceded in death by brothers: Ted and Jim Marsh.

Contributions may be made to Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home to offset the funeral expenses.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., with services starting at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating. In keeping with Chuck's wishes, he will be cremated following the service.
