Charles Burdell "Bud" Lee, 80 of Grafton, passed away at his residence Wednesday (April 11, 2018). He was born May 9, 1937 in Morgantown, the son of the late Burdell E. and Alma Lorraine Starkey Lee. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Raschella Lee, who he was married to for more than 46 years.
Bud was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Mannington High School and was an electrician for West Virginia Electric in Fairmont. He belonged to the Grafton VFW Post 3081, Grafton B.P.O.E. 308 and American Legion Post 12. He loved to be outdoors and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Keith Charles Lee of Grafton and Kimberly Lee of Fairmont; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Parrish and husband Ken, Burton, Sharon Thomas of Barrackville; a special niece, Joey Raschella, of Fairmont; a special nephew, Mark Cassella and wife Kim, of Clarksburg; a special friend, Roger Merriman; and his four-legged friend, Honey.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dixie Rose King and Linda Lee; one brother, George Lee; special nephew, Michael Raschella.
Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Avenue. A prayer virgil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor as celebrant. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor Post 12, Central WV DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries and the Navy Honor Guard.
