Cathleen J. Hernandez Coburn, 82, beloved sister, mother and grandmother, died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Cathy A. Coburn-Quick, on Thursday (Dec. 28, 2017).
She was a graduate from St. Peter's High School. She worked over 20 years at Shoney's restaurant and later retired to Conway, South Carolina. She volunteered for many organizations in Conway. Her hobbies were reading her favorite novels, attending Broadway shows, listening to all kinds of music, traveling and sewing and crafts. She was a wonderful cook and always had an ear to listen. Cathy was a joy spreader. She possessed a joy and love inside her that overflowed and infected those around her. Cathleen was a devoted Catholic and loved to spend time praying and talking about her faith. She was an excellent Christian example for her grandchildren. She was always there for her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Cathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Coburn; both parents, Manuel and Josephine Hernandez; step-mother, Anna Hernandez; and her sister, Dolores M. Hernandez.
