Carrie's Story

Carrie Lee King Tedford, 67, of Morgantown, passed from this life Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2017) at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Fairmont on Oct. 18, 1949, a daughter of the late Minnie Lee King Echols and Charles William Echols.
She was a Christian by faith. She had worked as a production worker at the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, shopping and watching horror movies.
Ms. Tedford is survived by two daughters, Tamara Lee Echols of Grove City, Ohio, and Victoria Echols of Florida; her son, Henry Echols Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; half-brother Clifford Johnson Jr. and his wife Vickie of Fairmont; her sister, Helen Louise King and Ron Moors of Fairmont; two half-sisters, Rose Sharron Johnson of Fairmont and Regina Jones of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael T. Echols, William Darrell Echols, Alex Sparrow Echols, Samuel D. Echols, Christopher D. Echols and Brandon L. Echols; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Pauline Echols.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Frey Home For Funerals, P.O. Box 895, Fairmont, WV 26555.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Monday at the Temple of Christ Church on Fitzgerald Street in Fairmont. Services will be held in the church at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Phyllis Agnes officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery.
