Carolyn Jane Snoderly, 73, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday (Dec. 4, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born May 6, 1944, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Roy Lee Jones and Helen Opal Long Jones.
Carolyn was a homemaker and loved camping at Holly River and going to the beach. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed her dogs. Carolyn had a great sense of humor and never knew a stranger. She was a faithful member of the Willow Tree Baptist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 56 years, Joseph Snoderly, whom she married on Dec. 23, 1961; three children, Karla (Bob) Rundle, Robert Joseph (Elizabeth Ann) Snoderly and Thomas (Heather) Snoderly all of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Ashley (Leroy) Brumage, Ryan Rundle, Holli (Ryan) Erdie, Joseph, Chloe and Nicholas Snoderly; six great-grandchildren, Lukas Rundle, Abigail Brumage, Hadley Erdie, Harper Brumage, Taylen Erdie and Olivia Jane Erdie; and a sister, Patricia (John) Martin of Barrackville.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalee Moran.
Friends will be received from 5-6 p.m. Friday at the Willow Tree Baptist Church, 77 Dunkard Mill Run Road, Farmington. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor David Knotts officiating. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington.
