Carolyn Sue Carr McLeary, 73, of Marion Ave., Fairmont, went with the angels to rest in God's loving arms on Tuesday (Feb. 13, 2018). She was surrounded by her husband and daughters at home.
Carolyn was born Feb. 22, 1944 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Harold E. and Mary Lemasters Carr. She graduated from Fairmont Senior High School. She had been employed at Owens Illinois for 18 years, last working in the selecting dept. She later continued to work as a realtor for ERA Pitrolo/Williams and Century 21. An avid golfer, she belonged to Green Hills Country Club and was a member of the Mountaineer Ladies League. Carolyn also enjoyed trips to Florida with her husband, Tom, in their motor home. She also very much enjoyed attending classic car shows.
Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas McLeary of Fairmont (married 57 years); two daughters, Jennifer Ann and her husband Michael Gazsi of Morgantown and Tammy Sue Vasco of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Ashly, Winnie, Lina, Kane, Meredith and Logan; and three great-grandchildren, Rhien, Myiah, and Anthony.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Carr, Harold Carr, and Ronald Carr.
The family would like to thank all friends for their prayers during this difficult time. The family is also very appreciative to David and Elaine Bartrug for their concerns.
Carolyn has chosen cremation services.
Family and friends will be greeted from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Ford Funeral Home, R. C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Rd., Fairmont. A memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Ken Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
